I have an allergy, can I still have your creams?
There are no known universal side effects with any of these ingredients unless you have a particular allergy. Shea Butter naturally contains a latex sap which is not the same as the latex from a rubber tree. I have researched this extensively and it appears that opinion is somewhat divided as to whether this can be an allergen. One of its uses is to treat allergic skin conditions such as eczema. If you have a concern always do a patch test first. Alternatively, I can make you a cream using an alternative to Shea Butter. Please let me know if you have any sort of allergy. I will make every effort to minimise cross contamination of, for example, nut containing ingredients although cannot guarantee they will be 100% free for your own welfare. If you would like a free sample of Shea Butter for a patch test please let me know and I'll be more than happy to send it to you.

Do you ship overseas?
Absolutely. However, due to the different shipping costs please contact me with what you would like and I will contact you with a price for shipping. When confirmed I can send you a PayPal invoice where you can pay directly. All costs for shipping are calculated using Royal Mail postage costs plus packing. PayPal will automatically carry out currency conversions for you. If you would like a guideline for the current exchange rate you can use XE.com

All creams, regardless of your location, will require a signature for delivery.

What ingredients will be in my moisturising cream?
Every tin will state what exactly is in your cream. I do not use fixed recipes due to a number of factors such as availability and season; I only use the best ingredients I can source. E.g. If I am unable to buy organic jojoba oil, I will not substitute it with a cheaper non-organic alternative, I simply won't use it.

All ingredients are organic and I create my creams from this list which will be up-to-date at all times. The Latin name for each ingredient is also given due to International Nomenclature for Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI) regulations:
- Shea Butter (butyrospermum parkii), cocoa butter (theobroma cacao), avocado pear oil (persea gratissima), neem oil (azadirachta indica), hemp seed oil (cannabis sativa), sweet almond oil (prunus amygdalus dulcis), jojoba oil (simmondsia chinensis), Virgin coconut oil (cocos nucifera), calendula oil (calendula officinalis), sunflower oil (helianthus annus), Extra Virgin olive oil (olea europaea).

Organic essential oils:
Chamomile (matricaria recutita), lavender (lavandula angustifolia), tea tree (melaleuca alternifolia), peppermint (mentha piperita), spearmint (mentha spicata), lemon (citrus Limon), lime peel (citrus aurantifolia), geranium (pelargonium graveolens roseum), patchouli (pogostemon cablin), bergamot (citrus bergamia), sweet orange (citrus sinensis), mandarin (citrus reticulata), rosemary (rosmarinus officinalis), eucalyptus (eucalyptus globulus), ylang ylang (cananga odorata var. genuina).

You describe your Shea Butter as 'wild crafted', what does this mean?
I buy my Shea Butter in bulk from a supplier that sources it personally from Ghana from a fairtrade co-operative. It is called organic though has not been certified by the soil association. It is processed as it has always been in her community without chemicals or any kind of refinement.

How long will my creams take to arrive?
I only make creams to order and will endeavour to send them as quickly as possible. I aim to send all orders within 48 hours. If there is a delay beyond my control I will, of course, let you know immediately.

How long will the creams last?
About 12 months. I make every order of cream by hand and will only do so when I get your order ensuring you only get the freshest product. Every tin will display the date the cream was made.

I've noticed my cream has slightly changed consistency, is it ok?
Yes it's fine. Being a natural product it does not contain chemicals that are only there to make it look a certain way. The only thing I have noticed is that if left untouched and in a warm environment some ingredients may slightly separate but that isn't a problem. Simply remix.

Where can I apply SheaRoots products?
All over! All the whipped creams can used from head to toe including the mint foot butter, coconut oil and cocoa butter.

Who are these products suitable for?
Anyone and everyone! Adults and children alike as all the ingredients are gentle and nourishing.

Are any of your ingredients tested on animals?
No. All my products' ingredients are plant based and are not tested on anything other than humans. Consequently all products are suitable for vegans.

Where is the best place to store SheaRoots products?
It is best to store them in a cool place and out of direct sunlight. The only exemption is the coconut oil which due to its semi-solid structure, needs warmth to remain an oil for easy application.

What will I receive in my package?
You will receive your order and a business card printed on recycled paper. In order to help the environment your invoice will be sent electronically as a PDF document.
