Ingredients

All ingredients used are unrefined and organic.

The base of all my creams is Shea Butter.  In addition and depending on the type of cream I make, I use a variety of oils, butters and essential oils of which some are listed here. Please see the FAQ page for a complete list of ingredients and their INCI Latin names. Not all ingredients are used at the same time in the same cream.

Coconut oil:
Smelling this always makes me think of Hawaiian beaches! I only use unrefined food grade Virgin coconut oil as what is rubbed onto the skin is absorbed into the body  The healing properties of this coconut oil is wonderful on its own as a moisturiser or as a fantastic intensive hair conditioner.

Jojoba oil:
Great for inflamed skin: psoriasis, eczema, acne and is great as a hair conditioner. It is suitable for all skin types and it highly penetrative. Jojoba closely resembles the natural moisturising oil, sebum, that we produce through the skin which makes it an especially wonderful ingredient.

Cocoa butter:
This smells of chocolate! On its own it is quite hard although it melts on skin temperature. It is non greasy and thus leaves a mattifying effect. For men it's great to use on your face after a shave and for women it is great to use before applying makeup. It is a wonderful protector and all over moisturiser. Cocoa butter is derived from the roasted seed of the cocoa plant.

Hemp seed oil:
Extracted from the seed, hemp seed oil contains polyunsaturated essential fatty acids, omega 3 and omega 6, including linolenic acid which stimulates cell growth. Excellent for dry skin, very soothing and quickly absorbed.

Calendula:
Calendula is a wonderful healer for many skin ailments including eczema. It is often used in homeopathic remedies.

Sweet almond oil:
Good for all skin types, helps relieve: itching, soreness, dryness and inflammation. It naturally contains glucosides, minerals, vitamins and is rich in protein. The oil is obtained from the kernal.

Extra Virgin olive oil:
As well as as a salad dressing, used externally it can help rheumatic conditions and dry skin, it is very soothing.

TIP:
Use half a lemon to rub down and disinfect work surfaces.

TIP:
Exfoliate in the bath or shower with sea salt. Moisturise thoroughly afterwards.

TIP:
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your body hydrated.
